Mark Rope is an Englishman (born 1951 in Derbyshire) who has been living near Waterford in Ireland since 1980. He has been writing poetry for some 7 years, since the start of the Waterford Writers' Workshop. He has the ability to light up both dark corners of history and dark corners of our own day in poems whose language is alwasy sensuous, original and right. Many of the poems in this collection first appeared in Poetry Ireland and other leading irish journals. Ten of these poems were represented in Peterloo Preview 2. 63 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
