Thomas McCrie (1772-1835) was a notable minister of the Secession Church in Edinburgh, and he remains well known as the biographer of Reformers such as John Knox. He was also known as a warm-hearted pastor, and this aspect of his ministry is clearly seen in his discourses about Esther.
