Hardback. Etat : Very Good Plus. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. First Edition. No stated date c2002. First edition. 181pp. and numerous colour and black and white illustrations. The Guildry Incorporation of the City of Perth or the "Guildry" as it is familiarly known, is the direct descendant of the Merchant Guild which received its royal recognition in the famous Charter which King William the Lion granted to the City of Perth in 1210. The Guildry was an early friendly society, and it supported members who had fallen on hard times, infirm members, widows and students. Today the Guildry is a charitable organisation which continues to provide support for its members by way of bursaries, pensions etc. and also supports deserving local causes. The book is bound in the original blue boards with gold titling on the spine and a gold stamped seal on the front board. The book is in excellent condition and the contents are tight and clean. A handwritten letter from the author, signed 'Marion', has been attached to the front fixed endpaper. The unclipped dustwrapper has shelf wear with rubbing and some gentle creasing along the top edge. There is a tear of about 1/4" on the top front spine corner. SIGNED COPY.
