A propos du livre

À propos de la quatrième de couverture

Arabia was the spice emporium of the ancient world. It lay at the hub of the great trade routes: the Spice Routes, the Silk Road and the Frankincense Trail. Here, American writer Miriam A1 Hashimi interweaves the story of those ancient trading routes and their influence on Arabic (and Western) cuisine - with around 200 traditional Arabic recipes. The author conveys both her fascination with the cultural history of the region and her great enthusiasm and love for Arabic cuisine, with its fresh ingredients, subtly spiced flavours and carefully arranged colours.
