Jackson, W.D. Then and Now. London, Menard Press, 2002. 14 cm x 21,5 cm. 140 pages. Original Softcover. Very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. Inscribed and signed by W.D. (Bill) Jackson to John Wakeman, editor of the poetry magazine The Shop. Loosely inserted is a manuscript letter by the author. Includes for example the following poems: Heinrich Heine: Germany. A Winter's Tale / A German Childhood. Or: Forms and Forces / Adam the First / Heinrich Heine: The Slave-Ship / Hamlet in England etc etc. W.D. Jackson has lived and worked in Italy and, since 1973, in Munich. The first two books of his work-in-progress, Then and Now - Words in the Dark (2002) and From Now to Then (2005) are published by Menard Press. Boccaccio in Florence and Other Poems came out in 2009 from Shearsman / Menard. (mptmagazine).
