Synopsis
The 2017 Doctor Who Diary covers the entire 12 episodes of Series 9, plus the Doctor Who Christmas Special, 'The Husbands of River Song'. Peter Capaldi returns for his second series as The Doctor, assisted by the ever-faithful Clara Oswald, played by Jemma Coleman. In this series we are also introduced to Ashildr, played by Maisie Williams, a Viking girl made immortal by The Doctor, and we once again encounter the Doctor's nemesis, Missy. River Song also returns for the Christmas Special. The main story of the series revolves around the mystery of The Hybrid, a being that is said to be a combination of two great warrior races. The Doctor's investigations lead him to many different places and eras - from Viking England to a space station in the 38th century - before eventually leading him back to Gallifrey, where he discovers its true identity. Steven Moffat was directly involved in writing six of the episodes, writing the crucial first three and last two episodes. Double - page spread per week. Includes US and Canadian public holidays. The 8th diary in this series and a collectible for fans.
