Description Anthony Wilding: A Sporting Life by Len and Shelley Richardson is a detailed and engaging biography of one of the greatest tennis players of the early 20th century. The book explores Wilding’s rise to international fame, his Wimbledon victories, and his role in shaping modern tennis. Far more than a sports biography, this work places Wilding within the broader context of New Zealand identity and pre-war international sport.
