Barbara Freedman-De Vito's background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, certification as an art teacher, and a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She has spent many years as a children's librarian in the USA, as a free-lance storyteller and puppeteer in the U.S. and Europe and as a teacher and workshop leader on the arts of storytelling, puppetry and prop design.
