Gene Shepherd teaches hooking and dyeing classes regularly in California and through his online Internet Rug Camp, as well as at camps and special events throughout the US and in Canada, England, Australia, and Russia. His work has appeared four times in Celebration of Hand-Hooked Rugs, and he has been a Celebration judge as well. He is a frequent contributor to Rug Hooking magazine magazine the ATHA newsletter. He lives in Anaheim, California with his wide Marsha and his parakeets.
