"Rolling Stones: 40 x 20 celebrates the 40 year career of the ""World's Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band"" as seen through the lenses of 20 world-class photographers. This stunning visual essay brings together for the first time exceptional black-and-white and colour photographs over a third of them previously unpublished that document the longevity, celebrity and popularity of the band synonymous with rock. Beginning with Gus Coral's photographs of the Stones' first tour of England in the autumn of 1963, Rolling Stones 40x20 chronicles the band's development over the coming years. Each photographer's work is accompanied by their personal account of the circumstances surrounding the sessions. Included are the ""Between the Buttons"" images of Gerard Mankowitz; the ""Satanic Majesties Request"" era photographs of Michael Cooper; the ""Beggar's Banquet"" session photos of Michael Joseph; and many more."
