Dennis Wheatley was the President of the Swindon-based Wyvern Dowsing Society and employed a professional dowsing tutor for Wiltshire County Coucil's adult education programme. He regularly lectured and wrote on dowsing-related subjects and, at the request of national television networks, has made three films on dowsing for earth energy patterns.
