Etat : new. Rice, John (illustrateur). ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 1998). (1906) 1998 new edition. 8vo (158 x 236mm). Ppvi,77,i. B/w photographs, b/w illustrations by John Rice. Gilt-decorated cloth-backed blue boards, pictorial slipcase. Slight scuff, slight staining but very good copy in slipcase. Edition limited to 1500 copies. "A book as British and as charming as Tarpon Fishing in Mexico and Florida deserves an introduction which honors author Edward Churchill's expeditionary fondness for isolated strongholds of classic sport; the kind of far-flung enclaves that still draw many of us to what Conrad called the 'darker outposts' of the earth. Judge for yourself if the effort is worthy." Randy Wayne White, in his Introduction to this book. Includes forty photographs by the author, mostly of leaping tarpon. An attractive modern reprint of one of the scarcest of the old tarpon fishing books. . N° de réf. du vendeur 28849
