THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF KOVIC'S BESTSELLING MEMOIR, WHICH INSPIRED THE ICONIC OLIVER STONE FILM

Ron Kovic's memoir about his tour of duty in the Vietnam War and his role as an anti-war advocate with a powerful and moving new introduction that sets this story in a contemporary context.

This New York Times bestseller (more than one million copies sold) details Ron Kovic's life story - from a patriotic soldier in Vietnam, to his severe battlefield injury, to his role as the country s most outspoken anti-Vietnam War advocate, spreading his message from his wheelchair.

Portrayed by Tom Cruise in Oliver Stone's film adaptation of the book, Kovic has been immortalised as an American hero. This 40th anniversary edition of Kovic's classic book contains a moving new introduction that places the story in a contemporary context.
