Digitizing (ADCs and DACs) and sampling (including some switched-capacitor) circuits are explained, with theory required for design. Sampling theory is developed from both a frequency and time-domain viewpoint, with emphasis upon application to design.

He has designed part or all of oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, pulse generators, medical ultrasonic scanners, phaco machines, and surgical lasers, microcomputer-based data acquisition and control systems, thermal energy meters, and various power conversion and motor-drive products.
