Biographie de l'auteur

Chris Ann Waters is an author, speaker, and artist who focuses her creativity on loss and transition. Chris Ann holds a B.A. from Montclair State University in New Jersey, has completed advanced study in Thanatology at the National Center for Death Education in Boston, and completed advanced study and certification in bereavement facilitation through the American Academy of Bereavement in conjunction with the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Chris Ann is certified by CLASS and speaks on grief, suicide prevention, and volunteerism. She worked for many years as a Hospice volunteer helping terminally ill patients and their families cope with death and grief. She places special emphasis and fundraising efforts on suicide prevention. In addition to Seasons of Goodbye, her works to help people are Walking Toward Easter: A Lenten Devotional, and My Turn to Care: Encouragement for Caregivers of Aging Parents, in which she is a contributing author. Prior to her grief work, Chris Ann had an administrative career in New York City in which her responsibilities for companies and private clients involved frequent international travel. Chris Ann received a fundraising award for achievements to expand international education programs for graduate and Ph.D. students at the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University. She also received the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Excellence in Volunteering in the category of Benefiting Youth for her work through Hospice at Camp Lost and Found, a bereavement camp for children challenged by grief.
