Synopsis

When Alice finds her brother, Guy, guarding a corpse on family land in the early summer of 1947, she suspects the worst. Her father, who was the last person to have seen the deceased alive, refuses to talk about it to the police. As the investigation proceeds an evil network is revealed and persons of high status implicated. Alice and her lover Jeremy seek to clear her father’s name by finding the killer – a task that becomes more difficult with every step they take.

Lucy Dunmore has been writing novels since she was 11 years old. She studied the History of Art at London University and has worked as a teacher, an administrator and led art and music tours in Europe. An avid reader with a desire for learning, while bringing up a family she studied many aspects of spirituality and alternative religions, and when not writing she enjoys cooking and spending times with friends and family. She has lived in UK, France and Canada, but is now settled in Southern Spain.
