Baru is one of Europe's most exciting comic talents and on Road to America Baru has shared the meticulously researched script-writing duties with the writer Jean-Marc Thevenet. Baru burst onto the European comics scene in 1975, and in 1984 won the Alph'art, the Angouleme Festival's most prestigious award, with his very first work Quequette Blues.
