Rennie McOwan is a distinguished author, journalist and broadcaster. He has written a dozen books, including many popular novels for children and books on Scottish history. He has received awards from the Outdoor Writers Guild and the Provost of Stirling, and holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Stirling. He founded Stirling Literary Society and Friends of the Ochils, and is still active within both groups.
