Synopsis
A small child learning to walk may stumble, sometimes even fall. No one since the beginning of the world would venture to say that such a child was not perfect. In fact, a newborn baby is described as perfect even when it can barely co-ordinate arm and leg movement.Adam and Eve were the same, they were perfect but they had many limitations and much to learn. Eve decided to accelerate her spiritual growth with a journey into the knowledge of right and wrong. She thought it would make her more like God. She was tragically mistaken. God is love.There's no love inherent within right and wrong. Some people think the more you do right, the more you love God, the more you do wrong, the less you love Him. This is not true. The more you love, the more everything you do is right. God is love. Everything He does is right.The first child of Adam and Eve, Cain, had to master sin, not with good deeds and hard work but like his younger brother Abel did, with something that grew without hard work, a lamb. The lamb was something that he should have presented to God in faith, acting as a catalyst in his relationship with God. God warned Cain that sin was trying to master him. God was not warning him about killing Abel, He was warning him about trying to be accepted by being good enough. Cain ignored the warning, he decided he wanted God to accept him on his own merits. So Cain killed his brother Abel - to make himself first in the queue, but it didn't work.
