This is a new edition published April 2007 with considerable amendment and updating. Ruslan 2 takes you to a level higher then the average GCSE level in Russian, especially in speaking and listening skills. Most learners who want to take UK GCSE examinations do so after lesson 4 or 5 of Ruslan 2. The lessons are traditionally laid out, with cartoons to introduce the language topics, dialogues, vocabularies, grammar explanations, background information, and lots of exercises for listening, speaking, reading and writing. There is more grammar content than in Ruslan 1, with systematic introductions to verb aspects and verbs of motion, and full coverage of the declensions of nouns and adjectives. There is a 2000 word dictionary and a key to the exercises at the back of the book.
