The demonstration audio, which features a large selection of the transcribed tunes and ornaments performed by Cranitch, is an invaluable aid to learning as it allows the listener to hear how the music and ornamentation should sound.

Biographie de l'auteur

Matt Cranitch, who lives in Cork, has been playing the fiddle since childhood. He bas performed extensively, and has presented master-classes and lectures, both at home in Ireland and abroad. As a founder member of Na Fili, he featured on all their records, and has made a number of solo albums and various other recordings. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and in Music of University College Cork, where he taught the fiddle for a number of years. He lectures in Electronic Engineering at Cork Regional Technical College. As a highly accomplished musician and experienced teacher, he brings to this book a deep knowledge and keen understanding of all aspects of Irish Traditional Music.
