International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. He became a high flyer and attained senior rank at a comparative young age and in an era where there were a large number of staff, no mean achievement. A very nostalgic and interesting book , mainly appealing to the steam enthusiast. The story is accompanied by black& white photos, many published here for the first time, plus copies of some BR documents. Well worth reading for a gentle reminder of how things were in the golden age and decline of steam. Ref *SS1. N° de réf. du vendeur 018329
