Acclaimed author Alex Gordon has spent almost half-a-century at the sharp end of publications after joining the Daily Record national newspaper at the age of fifteen in 1967. Glasgow-born, he celebrated his sixteenth birthday on the Sports Desk and was appointed Chief Sports Sub-Editor at the age of twentythree. He became Sunday Mail Sports Editor at thirty-five in 1987 before taking over as Managing Director of 7 Day Press, one of the UK s biggest freelance sports agencies, in 1994. Alex was also the Scottish correspondent for the prestigious French publications Lequipe and France Football while penning a monthly column for World Soccer for over a decade. He has had eleven football books published and his debut novel, Who Shot Wild Bill? , hit the book shelves in August 2013. The follow-up, What Spooked Crazy Horse? , is due for publication in 2016. And Alex is currently working on the third of the series, which is entitled Who Stole Sitting Bull? .
