Here is his latest collection of nautical mishaps, most of which have happened to him or his long-suffering friends and charterers. An added feature this time is a sideways look at cruising over the last 50 years - from the days when boats were left unlocked and heated by wood stoves, to the present day. Strangely, sailors still get cold, wet, sick and frightened, but still resort to humour to explain their weird obsession.
