The inspiration for the second part of the book came from Arthur Ransome's booklet, Fishing, published by the National Book League in 1955 in which he recommended suitable books to form the nucleus of an angler's library. Keith has brought Ransome's lists up to date and included new sections on angling and art, angling biographies, tackle collecting and angling history.
