The Forgotten Gift tells the story of Samuel, a young boy with unusual powers. Left alone to fend for himself after the death of his mother, Samuel and his new friend Quicksilver, an enormous silver dog, set off for the Great Forest to escape their unfriendly home in the village of Crossways. Their adventures in the forest lead Samuel on a journey of self-discovery when he meets a hidden community of forest people. As Samuel gets to know these strange and wonderful people, the truths about him, his mother, and the mystery of his strange abilities begin to unfold. Living amongst the foresters, Samuel learns how to command his special powers, and becomes captivated by all the wonderful creatures and nature that surround him. As fantasy and danger threaten to take over, Samuel s extraordinary gift must be used to its fullest capability to save his new home from ruin...
