JF Mitchell, born 26/8/69, the only member of the family to be born south of the border - even the dog was Scottish. "JF Mitchell says 'I have tried writing in many different genres but believe I have found my home in Children's fiction - I love the freedom of using my imagination to create places, characters and situations where I can escape from the real world around me and live in one of my own making for a little while."
