Synopsis

The European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) is an active network bringing together many of the major concert halls in Europe in order to promote professional exchange, shared reflection and joint initiatives. Nineteen of the twenty member organisations participated in a research study that was designed primarily to provide a baseline overview of its ‘education, learning and participation’ (ELP) activities. Data were collected over a period of six months via a specially designed online questionnaire, follow-up interviews and a small number of case studies.
