In addition, his regular articles in every home matchday programme, for 16 years, each with an angle into the history of the club and its players, helped The Pirate win a succession of national awards. After almost 20 years working as a teacher in Wiltshire and Dorset, Stephen moved to Kenya in 2009 to work as Head of Languages and Housemaster at St Andrew s School, Turi. He and his wife Stitch have four children, Tolly, Ophelia, Horatio and Hatty, who are all being brought up in East Africa as Bristol Rovers supporters.
