Synopsis

A young peasant in ancient Egypt, Papyrus is a mischievous boy, crafty and courageous. Protected by a magic sword, he saves the princess Theti-Cheri, whose protector and confidant he becomes. He will be extremely busy protecting his friend from the plots woven by the priests of Amon or by cheating princes trying to make her disappear... Lucien De Gieter started off in the graphic novel world as writer for SPIROU Newspaper, in 1961. He launched his first series, entitled 'Pony, ' and collaborated notably with Peyo in the inking of the 'Smurfs.' In 1974, the first drawings of 'Papyrus' were published in SPIROU. This Egyptian saga quickly became very popular among children.
