Coming up through the youth system at West Ham, Rio joined Leeds for a British transfer record £18m in 2000, and then broke transfer record once again when he moved from Leeds to Man Utd for £30m in 2002. Since then he has featured in the PFA Team of the Year three times, captained the England national team and won 11 major trophies.
