Tariq Ramadan is Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at Oxford University. He is Senior Research Fellow at St Antony's College (Oxford) and Doshisha University (Kyoto, Japan); Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, (Qatar); Director of the Research Centre of Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) (Doha, Qatar) and President of the think-tank European Muslim Network (EMN) in Brussels. His research interests include Islamic legislation, politics, ethics and Sufism, His writings include In the Footsteps of the Prophet: Lessons from the Life of Muhammad, The Quest for Meaning: Developing a Philosophy of Pluralism and Radical Reform: Islamic Ethics and Liberation.
