Anne Boran is Head of Social and Communication Studies at the University of Chester. Her current research interests are labour/social movements and globalisation. She teaches world development, Latin American area studies, global political economy and globalisation. Peter Cox lectures in Social Science at the University of Chester. His current research concerns the interaction of technologies of mobility, development and grassroots activism, with special reference to the importance of non-motorised transport. His work is interdisciplinary in nature and has a particular focus on community development.
