Présentation de l'éditeur

This guide has been specifically written for the new AQA GCSE specification (for first teaching in 2009 and first exam in 2011) and covers everything you need to know to succeed in the examinations and coursework. Covering each of the three Strands in details - the Western Classical Tradition, Popular Music of the 20th and 21st centuries, and World Music - it explores the five Areas of Study through both well-known and novel pieces of music. It includes exercises, practical ideas to try out, examiner's tips and suggestions for further music to explore. Musical examples and diagrams are used throughout, and there is a glossary of all musical terms you are likely to meet at GCSE. Written by a senior examiner with many years' experience of teaching GCSE music.
