Synopsis
Flash floods devastate Britain. But the terror is just starting as the living dead emerge from the waters to hunt down the survivors. For Katja - after a year helf captive in a brutal vice ring - it's a contant fight to stay alive, but also a chance to win her freedom. McTarn, a haunted ex-soldier, is press-ganged into a mission to rescue a scientist. When the floods cut them off he has to fight both the undead and his own demons. Even though appparently insane, he may be Katja's only hope of survival.

Simon Bestwick was born in 1974. His short fiction has popped up all over the place, in the UK and the States, and is collected in A Hazy Shade of Winter. His first novel, Tomes of The Dead: Tide of Souls, received wide critical praise and, more recently, he has been nominated for the Bram Stoker award.
