Three tales from Kipling’s “Jungle Books”. Mowgli’s Brothers tells the story of Mowgli, the young boy raised by wolves and under the protection of Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther, as they face the threat of the tiger, Shere Khan. In The King’s Ankus, Mowgli is led to a vast treasure in a hidden city by the python, Kaa. He does not realise, however that the allure of the treasure leads men to kill… In Red Dog, Mowgli and his wolfpack are under threat from a vicious pack of wild dogs, and Mowgli must turn to Kaa for help to defeat them. Classics Illustrated tells these wonderful tales in colourful comic strip form, offering an excellent introduction for younger readers. This edition also includes a biography of Rudyard Kipling, theme discussions, a poem by Kipling and study questions, which can be used both in the classroom and at home to further engage the reader in the story.
