À propos de l'auteur

Eberhard 'Paddy' Bort studied at Tübingen University and has worked at Trinity College, Dublin, the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington and, since 1995, at the University of Edinburgh, where he is the Academic Coordinator of the Institute of Governance.

A lifelong folkie, Paddy is the founder of the Wee Folk Club at the Royal Oak pub in Edinburgh, and has been involved in running Edinburgh Folk Club for more than a decade. As its Chair, he introduced the Carrying Stream Festival in 2002, an annual celebration of the life and legacy of Scotland's greatest folklorist, Hamish Henderson (1919-2002). He also acts as a board member of the Hamish Henderson Archive Trust.

For his sins, Paddy is also organising the live music for The Phoenix and its Inselfolk Festival in Lauffen (Germany).
