Revue de presse

RCSLT Expert Reviewer rated My First Makaton Symbols and Signs Series 1 Collection 5 out of 5 stating: This delightful series of books introduces a range of typical early vocabulary. One word features on each page. There is an illustration on the top half of the page, with the Makaton Symbol (with text below) and Makaton Line Drawing side-by-side below. It is a simple but effective idea - prompting the adult to use Makaton and also reminding them of the sign if needed. The author s intention is that the books should be shared in a typical way with small children - for pleasure. The illustrations are appropriate for this kind of book and would be accessible to most children. There are helpful guidance notes regarding the use of the signs and symbols, the importance of speaking when signing and some useful extra signs at the back of the book..... I would recommend the books for families, nurseries and as a great addition to portage libraries or similar services. --Bulletin: The Official Magazine of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists, August 2011
