He is a retailer, festival owner, farmer, author, publican, restauranteur, podcast host, property developer, charity chairman and enthusiast. His businesses employ over 100 people and include The Good Life Experience festival, the Hawarden Estate farm shops in north Wales and Glen Dye Cabins in Scotland. With his wife Caroline, he wrote The Family Guide to the Great Outdoors (Penguin Random House/Square Peg). He hosts The Mavericks Podcast. He has been married to Caroline for over 30 years and together they have six adult children.
