RAGHU RAGHAVAN is a reader in the disability and mental health research programme at Northumbria University. He has a clinical background in health psychology and learning disability nursing, as well as expertise in service development. He has developed a strong research profile in learning disability, mental health and social inclusion and has worked with young people with learning disabilities and their families to promote inclusion and participation.

Raghu has collaborated with professionals for research and practice facilitation and has pioneered knowledge transfer ventures through national short course programmes in intellectual disability and mental health. He has published widely, with over 40 books, chapters, peer reviewed journals and research reports.
