These true (ish) tales of rock music start in 1962, go on to centre on the musicians’ first professional ventures between 1968 and 1971 in Ginger Man and Tetrad, then go on to their later careers. There are tales of treks and group vans. This is the reality of the road for rock musicians.

Three became well-known musicians with Supertramp, Mogul Thrash, Family, King Crimson, UK, Asia, Roxy Music, Uriah Heep, La Bionda, Room, Be Sharpe. These tales are centred on the early days, based on my memories and a large box of letters. Then it goes on to their later adventures. They wrote long and funny letters to me at the time. The writing is neat and legible. The grammar is impeccable. They are all properly dated with full address at the top right. Three of them played together in a reunion in 2025.
