Synopsis

David Leake's parents were pioneer missionaries to Argentina's Toba and Wichi (Mataco) people and his father reduced the complex Toba language to writing and produced the first basic Toba Grammar and some selected translations of the Bible. David, who was born amongst the Tobas, tells of his childhood and how he himself became Bishop of Argentina and Presiding Bishop of the Southern Cone. He recounts his experience of the Malvinas/Falklands conflict.

David Leake was born amongst the Toba people of Argentina, the son of pioneer missionary parents. He was ordained and returned to minister in Arentina, becoming Bishop of Argentina andPresiding Bishop of the Southern Cone. He was honoured by the Queen with a CBE. He and his wife Rachel now live in retirement in Norfolk, England.
