The works presented in Contemporary Jewellery Art were created by roughly forty young and dynamic jewellery designers from around the world. Their work is not about luxury or even permanence. They strive to use innovative materials and experimental aesthetics to enrich the world of traditional jewellery design. What is featured in Contemporary Jewellery Art are separated into four chapters according to material: metal, ceramics & stone; wood; fur & textiles; plastic, soap & rubber; and other materials. Each chapter focuses on creative uses of these materials.
