'There and Back' is the detailed, honest and emotional account of how Ben Rockett broke the Land's-End-to-John-o'Groats-and-back world record. It describes the physical and mental turmoil that Ben's body and mind experienced as he cycled virtually non-stop for 1880 miles in less than six days. The book's rich descriptions will take you through every stage of the journey and provide an energising, motivating feeling that leaves you wanting to embark on your own challenges. As the reader turns the pages they gain an appreciation for what can motivate ultra-endurance athletes to put themselves through such pain and torture. It offers an understanding of how we set and then live by our perceptions of what is normal, yet draws the reader's attention to rethink what they consider possible. This book will leave you feeling motivated to think originally and do the extraordinary.
