Synopsis

The poets in this anthology, two women Maya Sarishvili and Lela Samniahshvili and four men Rati Amaglobeli, Shota Iatashvili, Gaga Nakhutsrishvili and Irakli Charviani represent the here and now of Georgian poetry in six very distinct voices.

By turns lyrical and moving, surreal and ironic, hard-hitting and comic, the poems in this anthology are an excellent starting-point from which to discover the richness of contemporary Georgian poetry.
