À propos de l?auteur

Fr Gerard Hanlon is a priest of the Leeds Diocese. In 1966 he went to Peru as member of the Leeds Diocesan Mission to work with the Irish Columban Missionaries in the growing shanty towns of Lima. He later moved to the highlands of Peru; then after twelve years, he spent thirty years in the Amazon jungle town of Iquitos as parish priest. He was also Director of the Catholic Education Office in Iquitos and taught in a local teacher training college and university. He holds BD from London University and MA from Leeds University. He has authored books for catechists, teachers and students in Spanish. Fr Gerard is now retired but spends several months of the year helping out in the poorer urban sprawl of Lima.
