The Frightened Fairie is scared of the dark. She struggles to cope with imaginary monsters, especially at night but she’s too timid to share her worries with anyone so feels lost and alone. It takes Flee the carefree butterfly to help Fairie deal with her fears by talking about them and confronting them head on until she learns ‘big’ feelings can go away. This is a book for younger readers, their teachers and parents, written in easy to understand rhyme with striking full-colour illustrations, set in the magical world of ‘Lifeland,’ and one of a series of six Finding Your Way books. Each book takes one of the six core emotions of sadness, fear, anger, happiness, surprise and disgust and aims to show the reader how to identify and manage the emotion they are feeling safely on their own or with the help of an adult.
