Synopsis

The Angry Alien is sad and lonely. He is full of anger because he is different to everyone around him and doesn’t feel he belongs. Alien lives under Anger Arches all alone as he cannot believe anyone could possibly like him. But all that changes when by chance he bumps into Jel the Turtle who insists she wants to be friends. Gradually Alien’s anger is replaced with happiness as Jel teaches him to let go of his ‘big’ feelings and accept he is likeable – if only he’ll give others a chance to get to know him. This is a book for younger readers, their teachers and parents, written in easy to understand rhyme with striking full-colour illustrations, set in the magical world of ‘Lifeland,’ and one of a series of six Finding Your Way books. Each book takes one of the six core emotions of anger, happiness, sadness, fear, surprise and disgust and aims to show the reader how to identify and manage the emotion they are feeling safely on their own or with the help of an adult.
