Ambrose O Shea first fell in love with the music of Neil Diamond in the early 1970s. Little was Ambrose to know then how that single performance would not only shape his own personal life but also that of his entire family. Ambrose has also built up a massive collection of Neil Diamond memorabilia. This book is the story of Ambrose O Shea and his relationship with all things Neil Diamond. As you read this short introduction to this book you will no doubt find yourself humming a Neil Diamond tune inside your head, if so then this book is definitely for you.

 propos de l'auteur

This book is about Ambrose O Shea and his journey through all things Neil Diamond. Ambrose first heard Neil sing in 1970 and from this first encounter he was absolutely and totally converted to all things Neil Diamond. This conversion became something of an obsession for the next 35 years or more. Ambrose immediately began collecting all things Neil Diamond and eventually accumulated a massive collection of Diamond memorabilia. Ambrose O Shea has attended no less than 22 Neil Diamond concerts, he has travelled half way around the globe to meet Neil Diamond tribute artists and fans. He named his first daughter Caroline, named his family dog Shilo and called his house 'Diamondville 102' I approached Ambrose and asked him if he would consider letting me write a book about his Neil Diamond experiences and collection. With so much material and so many great stories coming out of Ambrose I was not too sure where to start. When I put this problem to Ambrose he simply said 'Why not start at the beginning'? And that is exactly what I decided to do. So I would suggest that you sit back and relax, because you are about to experience Neil Diamond through the story telling and photographs of Ambrose O Shea, who is most possibly Neil Diamond's greatest fan.
