Biographie de l'auteur

Franz Kafka is a German-speaking novelist and short-story writer born in Prague in 1883. After training as a lawyer, he secured a job in an insurance company and focused on writing in his spare time. Only a small number of his writings were published during his lifetime and he asked for others to be destroyed upon his death. He is regarded by critics to be one of the most influential writers of the twentieth century and a crucial figure in the existentialist movement.
