Synopsis
Jack knew that a free holiday was bound to turn out well, even if it was to Brazil and was unlikely to involve any early morning runs or cold showers. But as well as a copious supply of spiders, snakes and swimming slugs, the six friends soon have to deal with disappearing bodies, hundreds of small bags of talcum powder, and a familiar face from the past: someone they’d hoped never to meet again ...

'I suppose we'll have to walk,' Jack decided.
'Walk?' Sophie asked.
'Yes. Back to that town we stopped at.'
'Walk?' Sophie asked again.
'It can't be more than two days' hike,' Jack tried to reassure her. 'And if we keep to the water's edge then we should be fairly safe from any dangerous creatures.'
'Except for the dangerous creatures that live in the water,' Eric pointed out. 'Or along the water's edge.'
'Well yes,' Jack admitted. 'Except for those ones.'
